When Bitcoin first came into existence, it wasn’t valued the same as it is today. I’ve read different accounts of its initial price, but I’m curious to know what others think. Do you remember when you first heard about Bitcoin or what its price was back then?

When Bitcoin was first launched in January 2009, it didn't have an official price since it was not traded on any exchanges. The first recorded price was in October 2009 when the New Liberty Standard established a value of $1,309.03 per 1,000 BTC, which equates to roughly $0.0013 per Bitcoin. The first real-world transaction took place in May 2010, when someone famously paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas, making the effective price about $0.0025 each at that time. It's fascinating to see how far Bitcoin has come since those early days!
