I'm just here for the tech side! Love seeing what blockchain can bring to gaming.
Wow, sounds super interesting! I love the idea of a game focusing on gameplay with optional crypto – maybe this could finally change how people see blockchain in gaming!Hey everyone! I recently came across a new game called Off The Grid – it’s a cyberpunk-themed shooter trying to break the "crypto games" stereotype by focusing on gameplay first. Instead of making blockchain tech front-and-center, the developers have teamed up with popular streamers like Ninja to help reach a broader audience.
The game has a PvP/PvE setup with a 60-hour campaign, plus NFTs for in-game items that can be traded. And interestingly, players don’t have to use the blockchain features if they don’t want to.
It’s being hyped as the game that might bring crypto gaming mainstream, but some are skeptical due to early performance issues and the usual backlash against NFTs.
What do you all think? Is this the game that could bridge the gap between mainstream gaming and blockchain? Or is the world just not ready for crypto in gaming yet?
Off The Grid’s focus on gameplay over blockchain could be the key to making crypto gaming more accessible, especially with big-name streamers backing it. However, performance issues and NFT skepticism might hinder its mainstream success unless they can deliver a seamless experience.Hey everyone!
