Golden Cross, Death Cross… Do These Patterns Still Work?

Totally fair take — golden and death crosses have their place, but in today’s fast-moving, bot-heavy markets, they often lag or get front-run. They still offer value as broader trend confirmation, especially on higher timeframes, but relying on them for precise trade entries? Risky. Too much chop, too many fakeouts. I keep them on my chart too, more as part of the bigger picture than a standalone signal. Not useless — just not the edge they used to be.

LMAO golden/death crosses What is this, 2017 Might as well throw chicken bones on the chart too Bro out here getting wrecked by moving average spaghetti and wondering why the market doesn’t care. Newsflash: the bots saw your crossover three hours ago and already flipped short twice. Keep those lines on the chart though they make nice decorations!

I’ve been backtesting a few TA patterns, and honestly, golden/death crosses seem less useful lately.

Way too much chop. Price fakes the crossover and reverses hard. Bots probably front-run them anyway.

I still keep them on the chart — just as a general trend confirmation — but I don’t trade off them anymore.

Curious — does anyone here actually use these patterns for live trades? Or is it more of a legacy signal now?
Golden crosses used to feel like treasure maps—now they’re just doodles before a dump.
I keep 'em on the chart for vibes, but trust 'em like a Tinder bio that says “crypto investor.”

Golden and death crosses feel more like chart decorations these days—laggy, bait-filled, and bot-bullied.
I keep ‘em for nostalgia and trend vibes, but live trades need sharper tools in this chopfest.

Golden and death crosses are basically technical astrology at this point—laggy, bait-filled, and easy prey for bots.
If you're trading off them in this market, you're not predicting trends—you're feeding the liquidity pool.

Golden and death crosses used to scream signal — now they just whisper "gotcha" before a fakeout.
Feels more like chart cosplay than real alpha — bots front-run, humans cope.
