The traditional idea of bankroll management (setting limits, sticking to a % of your roll per bet, etc.) was built for games with relatively predictable variance. In crypto casinos, especially with high-multiplier games and meme culture driving insane risk-taking, it often feels like people pay lip service to "managing bankroll" while knowingly embracing volatility for the thrill.
That said, I don’t think it means bankroll management is obsolete — it just needs to be redefined. Maybe it’s less about strict limits and more about managing exposure to volatility in line with personal risk tolerance. Some players might set aside a "degen fund" separate from their core holdings. Or adopt dynamic stop-loss or take-profit rules based on session swings, not just individual bets.
At the end of the day, pretending to play smart while chasing dopamine is a dangerous combo. If we’re going to embrace high-risk play, we should at least have new, realistic frameworks for what responsible play looks like in this environment.
