How Are You Securing Your Crypto Wallet in 2024?

I’m all about cold wallets. I don't like the hassle, but it's worth it for the peace of mind. I also update my firmware religiously. It’s amazing how many people overlook updates!
 
Biometrics sounds promising for wallet security! I hope more apps start integrating that. I feel like it’s the next step up from just a password.
 
Honestly, just using 2FA on everything has already made me feel more secure. Never knew people could still hack accounts if you don’t have it on!
 
I keep everything offline. My private keys and recovery phrase are written down in a safe. Too risky to store anything online these days.
 
Multiparty computation (MPC) sounds high-tech, but do you think it’s practical for regular users? It feels a bit overkill to me unless you have huge sums.
 
I use a hot wallet for daily transactions but keep my main funds in cold storage. Best of both worlds in my opinion!
 
For anyone storing keys online: stop! You’re just asking for trouble. I use an encrypted USB for backups.
 
Address-checking is essential. I almost got scammed once because the address looked identical, but the last few digits were different!
 
Personally, I’d like to see more wallet companies offer biometric options. My phone does it, so why not my wallet?

I started keeping my passwords offline after reading about social engineering attacks. Now I write them down and store them in a locked drawer.

Paper wallets work for me. No one talks about them, but they’re easy and totally offline.

Cold storage is a must for me, but I still worry about physical damage or losing my seed phrase. Any tips for safe storage?

I recently moved to a hardware wallet and can’t imagine going back. Yeah, it’s a bit of a hassle, but I sleep better at night.
