Are meme coins a good long-term investment or just a passing trend?

Meme coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu have blown up thanks to community support and social media buzz. While they can deliver quick gains, their long-term value is uncertain due to a lack of solid fundamentals. Fun to hold? Sure. Reliable for serious investment? Probably not. What do you think, are they here to stay or just a passing trend?

Meme coins are fun for the hype, but without strong use cases, they're likely to fade once the buzz wears off.

I agree with you Dustin. Meme coins are more about the hype than actual utility. Once the FOMO and social media craze dies down, they'll struggle to maintain their value. I'll stick to researching legit crypto projects with genuine real-world use cases. The quick gains with meme coins are tempting, but the risks outweigh the rewards long-term. I'd rather invest in projects that have a solid roadmap and experienced dev team behind them. The memecoin craze is fun, but I'm not betting my portfolio on it.
