Quantum Computing

Quantum Computing is an area in the field of Computing that delves in developing computer technology anchored in the principles of Quantum Theory. This explains the behaviour of energy and material within atomic and subatomic levels.

While classical computers can only encode information in bits and is therefore restricting, Quantum Computing uses quantum bits or qubits. It makes use of subatomic particles’ unique ability that permits existence on more than one state. For instance, with Classical computers, bits take only the value of either 1 or 0, but with qubits, it can be 1 and 0 at the same time. Supercomputers are based on the very concept of Superposition and Entanglement which Quantum Computing illustrates.
