User Interface (UI)

In the field of Industrial Design of human-computer interaction, a User Interface or simply, UI, pertains to where all the interactions between human and machine takes place. The UI makes it possible for a user to interact with all the functionality of a machine. 

Typical examples of a User Interface include display screens, keyboards, a mouse, and the appearance of a desktop unit. The broader examples of the UI include the interactive facets of a computer’s OS, hand tools, heavy machinery operator controls. Basically, the goal of user interface design is to create a user interface which renders interaction with machines easier and more intuitive.
