Dark Web

The Dark Web refers to an expansive part of the internet in which content is encrypted in such a way that it is not indexed by the usual search engines. The Dark Web may also be called the Dark Net.

The Dark Web is yet another facet of the Deep Web that pertains to content classified as illegal and lurid. Initially meant for protection against the surveillance of authoritarian governments, the Dark Web had went on to become a wide clandestine marketplace for illicit transactions ranging from sex to murder-for-hire. While it cannot be conveniently shown to a mainstream audience, the browser called, The Onion Router (Tor network) can easily be downloaded, albeit with many layers of verification.
